Cookie policy

What this covers

This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on yf.agency, the website of Yoroshiku Fantastic K.K. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. It lets a site remember something between page loads: that you have entered a password, that a form has already been sent, that you are a person rather than a bot. Local storage and session storage do the same job by different means, and this policy treats them the same way.

What we use

We run one analytics tool: Google Analytics 4, property G-QN3YV5158P. It tells us which pages get read and roughly where readers arrive from. There is no Tag Manager, no advertising or social pixel, no cross-site tracking and no profiling, and we neither sell nor share visitor data.

Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_QN3YV5158P, both lasting two years, plus one entry in your browser's local storage called _gcl_ls. They hold a randomly generated ID, not anything that names you. Alongside them, Webflow, the platform that hosts and serves this site, sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep it secure and working: distinguishing people from bots, remembering that you have entered the password on a protected page, and letting a form submission complete. None of those are used for marketing.

We do not ask consent for the strictly necessary cookies, because the site cannot work without them. Analytics is different, so it is governed by the banner you meet on your first visit. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing analytics-related runs until you accept. Everywhere else, Japan included, analytics starts on and the banner lets you turn it off; declining stops collection and clears the two Google cookies straight away. Your answer is remembered, and Cookie choices below reopens it whenever you want to change your mind.

Things we link to

Our newsletter lives on Substack, and we link to Instagram, LinkedIn and X. Those are links, not embeds. Nothing from those services loads on our pages and they set nothing until you choose to follow a link. Once you are on their site, their cookie and privacy policies apply, not ours.

Managing cookies

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and refuse new ones. Look under Privacy in your browser settings. You can also browse in a private or incognito window, which discards everything when you close it.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of this site working, most visibly the contact form and any password-protected page.

If this changes

If we add anything new, or change what an existing tool does, we will update this page before it goes live and extend the banner to cover it. The date at the top reflects the most recent change.
