Website prototype for Japanese market

Overview

The brief

Curaden needed a Japan-ready Curaprox website direction that could do two things at once: stay faithful to the global brand system, and actually convert Japanese consumers who expect clarity, depth, and local convenience. We created a prototype strategy for the Japan site that shifts from “one long page that tries to say everything” to a clean, premium information architecture designed to educate, build trust, and drive subscription-based recurring revenue.

The work

01 / Challenge

Curaprox's Japan site had to join the global brand ecosystem while actually converting Japanese consumers, who expect clarity, depth, and local convenience. The existing approach overloaded a single page, working against both premium feel and conversion.

02 / Transformation

YF created a prototype strategy that shifts the site to a clean, premium information architecture with a dedicated education layer, reframed around a subscription-first goal. The plan included a Shopify-based localization foundation with support for Japanese language and payment gateways such as PayPay.

03 / Impact

Curaden gained a decision-ready blueprint for presenting Curaprox as a global brand that behaves like a local-first e-commerce experience. The direction gives the Japan team a scalable path to execute and iterate.

What we made

Deliverables

- Japan website prototype strategy (DX) aligned to the Curaprox global ecosystem. - Comparative model: Japan vs UK site logic (subscription-driven vs educated-choice conversion; blog separation vs single-page density). - Information architecture direction: product pages optimized for clarity and conversion, with a dedicated education/blog layer to manage depth. - Platform recommendation: Shopify, with localization considerations for Japanese language and payment gateways such as PayPay.
