Case study
Manufacturing capability made visible to global stakeholders.
Overview
UD Trucks needed a way to make its manufacturing and aftermarket capability legible to global stakeholders without relying on physical site visits. We built a virtual factory and supply chain storytelling system — combining structured process coverage, aftermarket reliability documentation, and web-ready interactive concepts — so transparency could scale digitally while preserving operational credibility.

Challenge / Transformation / Impact
01 / Challenge
Global trust in a manufacturing brand is earned through visible proof: how a truck is built, how quality is enforced, and how aftermarket support holds under real operational demand. UD Trucks needed a way to make that proof accessible to global stakeholders without relying on physical site visits.
02 / Transformation
YF designed a sequential capture roadmap across seven production processes and executed a tightly structured shoot plan to document manufacturing with minimal operational disruption. A parallel virtual supply chain tour was scoped and captured to extend the transparency story beyond the factory floor.
03 / Impact
UD Trucks gained an operational transparency asset that makes manufacturing competence and aftermarket reliability easier to understand, trust, and share across regions. The modular structure gives the brand a scalable proof system they can update and extend as the operation evolves.
What we made
Main virtual factory tour video covering seven production processes; Factory digest video version with bilingual (JP/EN) subtitle capability; Gunma parts center / aftermarket reliability video (approx. 5–10 minutes); Sequential capture plan and shot roadmap (7-process structure); Web experience concept for virtual tour, including:; - Clickable overview image with process nodes (Option 1); - 360° route concept with clickable icons (Option 2); Planned/considered 360° footage nodes for web use; Drone capture plan constrained to post-line-stop windows; Time-lapse full-truck assembly social content format; Asset organization and handoff structure for web + video deployment
