Case study
UD Family Day Design Materials
Brand clarity that guides every step of a shared experience.
Overview
The brief
UD Trucks brought employees, families, and partners together for a co-hosted Family Day within an active manufacturing environment. YF partnered with the team to create a unified visual communications and wayfinding system, connecting the event’s welcoming spirit with the practical demands of navigating an industrial site. We aligned corporate and union messaging, structured bilingual visitor information, and carried a consistent design language across printed guides, large-format posters, and on-site digital displays. The resulting toolkit connected arrival, activities, transport, and stage programming through a coherent event identity.

The work
01 / Challenge
An active manufacturing site needed clear visitor communications for employees, families, and partners with varied language and navigation needs. The system had to align corporate and union messaging, respect brand and licensed-content requirements, and make transport, activities, and safety information easy to understand. Success meant a consistent visitor-facing framework across printed and digital touchpoints.
02 / Transformation
We translated complex site logistics into a connected visual communications system, combining bilingual information architecture, facility maps, program guides, large-format posters, and digital screen layouts. Shared naming conventions and consistent visual rules aligned stakeholder communications, while brand and licensed-asset controls carried through each application.
03 / Impact
The project equipped the event team with a unified framework for presenting visitor guidance, transport information, activities, and stage programming. Consistent bilingual layouts brought corporate and union communications into alignment and made essential event information available across print and on-site screens.
