Overview

The brief

Scania Top Team is Scania’s global training and competition program for service teams. The Japan national final sits in the 2025/2026 cycle and determines the team that advances to the Asia/Oceania/Africa/Middle East regional final. The work needed to strengthen Scania Japan’s employer brand by positioning service personnel as world-class technical heroes and making the story modular for fragmented social/web ownership.

The work

01 / Challenge

Mechanic recruitment and retention is a real constraint for a niche brand presence in-market. Scania needed a clear, aspirational narrative that links service mastery to professional identity and connects Japan's best technicians to a global stage.

02 / Transformation

YF produced a dual-format video and photo asset system built for employer branding and modular reuse: a hero narrative edit in 16:9 and 9:16, individual participant interview modules, and a behind-the-scenes layer that shows the craft and competition process from the inside.

03 / Impact

Scania Japan received a scalable employer-brand content toolkit that elevates service teams as technical experts and connects their craft to the brand's global "Driving the Shift" mission, giving recruiters and HR teams content built to attract the right candidates.
